  • Neurobiology of food motivation in depression
Are you a woman between 22-42 years old?

You may be eligible for a research study investigating using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to investigate the relationship between hormones, mood, brain activity and appetite. MRI is a non-invasive way to view brain activity without using X-rays.

The study includes one screening visit to confirm eligibility and one morning visit which will include a meal, questionnaires, blood draws, and an fMRI scan. Visits occur at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.

Eligible participants will receive up to $175 for completing the study.

In order to be eligible, participants must be able and willing to participate in MRI scans.

About Obesity:
Being obese increases the risk for many diseases, especially heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, obesity has reached epidemic proportions. It has a far-ranging negative effect on health. Persons who are overweight or obese are at increased risk for developing many different health conditions, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and bone and joint disease.
