- Translational Investigation of Depression in Pregnancy
Women who are planning pregnancy and between the ages of 25-35 are wanted for a brain imaging research study exploring the connection between depression during pregnancy and levels of brain metabolites such as fatty acids and sugar molecules. Women with a history of depression as well as women with no psychiatric history are eligible to participate. Participation requirements include: 1) an initial in-person screening visit, 2) three months of menstrual period tracking, 3) a brain scan and blood draw prior to pregnancy, and 4) monthly online or phone mood questionnaires while pursuing pregnancy, during pregnancy, and three months postpartum.
