“Stenting and Angioplasty with Protection in Patients at High-Risk for Endarterectomy”

Have you been diagnosed with obstructive carotid artery disease?

Doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital are participating in a clinical research trial studying the outcomes of stenting obstructive carotid artery disease with emboli (debris) protection. The Cordis ANGIOGUARD XP/RX Emboli Capture Guidewire (ECGW) and next generation Cordis carotid stents are used in this study. This treatment is an alternative for patients who are considered high-risk for surgery. If you have questions about this research study or are interested in participating, you should contact Dr. Christopher Kwolek, the Principal Investigator or Tara Bresnahan, the Research Coordinator. We are available to provide you with further information regarding this study. Please call 617-643-2731 or e-mail tbresnahan2@partners.org.
