• Investigation of flow altered, short transcervical carotid artery stenting in patients with significant carotid artery disease with filter
Have you been diagnosed with obstructive carotid artery disease?

Doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital are participating in a clinical research trial studying the outcomes of cerebral embolic protection during angioplasty and stenting of the carotid arteries. The MICHI NPS+f in conjunction with carotid artery stents approved for revascularization in patients with carotid disease are used in this study. This treatment is an alternative for patients who are considered high-risk for surgery. If you have questions about this research study or are interested in participating, you should contact Dr. Christopher Kwolek, the Principal Investigator or Jennifer Finn, the Research Nurse. We are available to provide you with further information regarding this study. Please call 617-726-4957 or e-mail jfinn1@partners.org.
