• Neural Mechanisms of Fear Extinction Across Anxiety Disorders
Participants with panic disorder are needed for a research study on emotional learning and memory

Dr. Mohammed Milad of the Psychiatry Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital is conducting a research study to investigate the neural mechanisms of emotional learning and memory. Participation in this study requires 3 separate visits. The total time commitment for the study will be approximately 7 hours.

Participants will undergo a fear conditioning procedure involving receiving an annoying but not painful, half-second electric current, applied to the fingers. This procedure will be conducted during two separate sessions in an fMRI scanner. Participants will be paid up to $230 for their time.
