- Translational Investigation of Depression in Pregnancy
Healthy adult females between the ages of 25-35 are wanted for a brain imaging research study exploring brain metabolites such as fatty acids and sugar molecules. Subjects will come to the MGH main campus for a 3 hour screening session between 9am-5pm. If eligible for the study, participants will subsequently track their menstrual cycles for 3 months, and undergo a one hour brain scanning session at Charlestown MRI Imaging Center between 8am-6pm. Participants will agree to be followed up for 12 months after the brain scan by filling out monthly online questionnaires about their mood and overall functioning during this time period. There is $100 monetary compensation provided to subjects for completion of this study.
