Volunteers Sought for Research Study on the Pathophysiology of Diabetes

Researchers at the Department of Radiology at MGH are conducting a study to evaluate the use of PET/CT imaging to investigate factors contributing to the development of diabetes.

We are looking for healthy volunteers who are at least 18 years of age.

Participation involves:

-answering many questions about your medical and family history and about your mind and how you think
-having a PET/CT scan of the abdomen and brain
-having MRI scans of the brain
-drinking a nutritional supplement shake then having several small blood samples drawn from an intravenous line

Procedures will take a total of about four hours on one visit day. Participants will be paid $200 for their time and effort upon completion.
